Tried to disable update messages, nut yet successful.

Auto download of full message bodies (IMAP connection)

• Note: nothing really seems to work. Tunderbird synchronizes items from the Yahoo server and Yahoo is giving timeouts. However, to have a full backup of all messages we can copy remote folders to a local folder. It doesn't seem to have timeout problems in that case.

I want all my e-mail in local files.

Account Settings > Synchronization & Storage

• Message Synchronizing
  • Check: 'Keep messages in all folders for this account on this computer'
    • Advanced
      • Check all folders, sub folders need to be checked separatetly
      • Note: check this again if you created or renamed folders
  • Disk Space
    • Select: 'Synchronize all messages locally regardless of age'
    • Uncheck: 'Don't download messages larder than []'
    • Select: 'Don't delete any messages'
• In the folder pane > Right click on the folder > properties
  • For each folder Check: 'when getting new messages for this account always check this folder'

Disable optimizations concerning 'MIME Parts on Demand'

• Options > General > Config Editor
  • mail.imap.mime_parts_on_demand=false

In the folder pane, each folder needs to be selected to allow download of all contained messages. You may have to wait until all messages have downloaded for each folder.

At some point I would have an error: "Server imap.mail.yahoo.com has disconnected"

• Maybe there are rate limits at the other side
  • related to more busy moments on the day
  • keeps coming back after seen once
• Maybe there are some messages causing this
  • related to this happening with a certain folders

After retrieving all messages and the message being local. You may limit the number of messages once again.

• Account Settings > Synchronization & Storage > Disk Space >
  • Select: 'Synchronize the most recent 30 Days'
