With aMule some servers will give a "low id" warning, you can improve your connection (and make it less secure) if you forward the used ports.

aMule uses TCP port 4662 and UDP port 4672 port.

Note: I configured aMule to use non-standard TCP port 4666 and non-standard UDP port 4677
