Nautilus hidden items

Nautilus file manager will not show files and folders with the prefix "." (used for hidden files) or the suffix ~ (used for backup files).

You can toggle visibility of these files with CTRL + H

You can also hide files by creating a text file with the name ".hidden" and add a filename or a foldername per line.
