Samsung smartphone to Windows 10 Miracast
On Windows 10 you need to enable "Wireless Display" feature:
- Apps & Features
- Check if it's installed
- Optional features
- Add
- Select and install "Wireless Display"
Note:
- Wi-Fi needs to be enabled
- It might not be possible to use your Wi-Fi for Internet and Miracast simultaneously
Now on Windows 10, Launch the Connect App. Search for these items:
- Connect to a Wireless Display
- Projecting to this PC
- Launch the Connect App to project to this PC
Windows 10 should now be ready to receive a connection
Note:
- In my case, while connected, all mouse and key input goes to the Android device. There was no way to get any input to Windows 10 without stopping the session. To keep local controls it helped for me to disable full screen at this point. Go with your mouse cursor to the right-top. A taskbar becomes visible. Click the arrows to disable the full screen.
Now on your Android device:
- Enable Samsung Smart View
- Select your Windows 10 device
- Mirror screen
