PDF import

OpenOffice extension, didnt work:

• http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/pdfimport

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-pdfimport

Download oracle-pdfimport.oxt, didnt work:

• http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/pdfimport

Install with:

sudo /usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg add oracle-pdfimport.oxt

Convert pdf to html with poppler utils

sudo aptitude install poppler-utils
pdftohtml -enc Latin1 "Vinge, Vernor - A Deepness in the Sky.pdf"

Note:

• AbiWord and Kword also have functionality to import PDF but poorly
• The Gimp can import PDF as images
